What this is about~
This workshop, at its foundation, is about empowerment.
In a rapidly changing world where we are presented with innumerable challenges, multiple perspectives, and increasing uncertainty, it is easy to get lost in the fray, to fall into a perilous pattern of self-doubt, overthinking, overwhelm, and worry.
However, we need not succumb to a sense of powerlessness. We do have power, we do have choices, and we do have the inner strength to change our thinking. One avenue for such change is through radical self-trust.
This does not mean, however, a giving-up of radical trust in a "higher power" (if this is part of your belief system); it is, rather, an invitation to explore and cultivate a form of radical trust in oneself. Whether you see the road ahead as a "dark time" or you simply feel called to engage in meaningful conversations around the practice of self-trust, come join us.
The backstory~
We only have this one, precious life, and we are warranted a full experience of what it means to be 'human', what it means to live to our fullest potential, what it means to be part of a wider community, what it means to be connected to something 'bigger', and in what way(s) we can each make a contribution to the greater good no matter how prominent or subtle. Each intention, each internal shift, and each outward action has the potential to set in motion a series of other positive actions and effects.
Our commitment to you~
-
We will set in motion a safe, trusted community where you are welcome (but never forced) to share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings without fear of harsh criticism or negative judgement from others in the group
-
We will share our resources and life coaching experience to guide you through this journey inward with mindful conversations, thought-provoking questions, and guided meditations
-
We will support your journey within the group experience, and we will arrange individual sessions as requested by you
We emphasise that this is a life coaching experience, not therapy.
Our intention is to point you towards a fuller, more holistic life, not take you into any past or present trauma.
We will follow six specific topic areas, broken down week by week~
-
Week 1: Introduction(s), trust building; values-articulation'; trust, radical trust, and radical self-trust
-
Week 2: Experiences, strengths, and gifts to access the truth of who you are; how you came 'to be' and who you want to become
-
Week 3: How your decision making patterns affect self-trust
-
Week 4: Tuning into your body's sense of knowing (commonly known as intuition)
-
Week 5: How to regain and strengthen trust in yourself
-
Week 6: Reclaiming your power and setting intentions (how you wish to proceed)
Our plans are always flexible, but a typical evening will unfold in three parts~
-
Beginning: welcome, check-in, Q & A
-
Middle: background information, discussion topics, meditation(s), reflection questions, journalling, creative activities
-
sample reflection/discussion questions:
-
What do you most deeply value, and how can you maintain your integrity in the face of competing demands or expectations by family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, community groups, etc.?
-
What is the meaning of trust? Self-trust? In what or whom do your place your trust and why?
-
What are your unique gifts (*yes, you do have gifts) and what are your resistances?
-
-
-
Ending: recap, suggestions for at-home follow-up, farewell message
Your time commitment~
-
6 evenings (two hours per session)
- 15-20 minutes/day of 'homework' to help you tune into and refine your thoughts, hopes, plans, and intentions (this could take the form of journalling, meditation, talking with trusted friends or family members, contemplative walks, or even simply thinking further about life's 'big' questions and conundrums)
What you need to bring~
-
an open heart
-
an inquiring mind
-
a compassionate spirit (*this includes towards yourself, not just others)
-
a willingness to question and deepen your inner sense of self-trust
-
a pen and a journal for quick jottings
This might be the workshop for you if~
-
you are wondering how to move forward in what might be considered a "dark time" (or a more uncertain future than ever before)
-
you want to practice accessing your own internal wisdom in a shared group environment
-
you are open to trusting like-minded others
-
you want to know more about the difference between discernment and judgement
-
you want to look more deeply into the meaning and importance of developing and applying empowerment through self-trust
This is might not be for you if~
-
you are at a time and place in life where you have attained the sort of peace, contentment, and conviction that renders these kinds of conversations irrelevant or unnecessary (with full respect to you...we acknowledge that this will not resonate with everyone)
If this is calling you, or if you have any questions, post a message below or click on the chat icon (bottom right) and we will get back to you. soon.
